Job Description: This job will provide basic technical support to develop, design and/or support internal R&D functions. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to gain valuable experience while working in a multidisciplinary, world class technology-based organization to help advance state-of-the-art R&D in agricultural sciences. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Will work with a senior scientist, under moderate supervision, executing experiments and delivering data. * Attention to detail and completeness of work is required. * Will assist with protocol development, experiment planning and report generation. * May be called upon to support plant care in a greenhouse setting. * May be asked to commute to several different worksites in the St. Louis area. * Should expect to work with Team in field experiments outside of St. Louis area. * Field and greenhouse work includes working with plants, collecting and disposing of specimens in a safe and prescribed manner. * Overnight travel up to 5% of time. Qualification: * A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Plant Biology, Botany * Experience with an emphasis in Agriculture, Plant Biology, Botany or a related area is a strong plus. * Work with Team in field experiments outside of St. Louis area * Experience in biological research, and will assist with protocol development, experiment planning, data analysis, and report generation Field and greenhouse work includes working with plants, collecting Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
