The role will provide weldingsupport for the garage shop services teams. The Fabricator I (Metal) will be mentored and supported byteam members on project work and customer interactionsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:* Weld instrumentation, exhaust tubes, and bosses.* Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with sanding disk and wire brushes to remove impuritiessuch as scale, rust, grease, and moisture.* Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overheadpositions.* Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshootingbreakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.* Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.Education and Experience (required):* High school diploma or equivalent.* No previous experience required.Education and Experience (preferred):* Certificate in Welding Technology or related.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):* Basic knowledge and ability to Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) or Metal Inert Gas (MIG) weld.* Good communication skills and detail oriented.* Knowledge to safely operate and use the Plasma cutter and Oxy-Fuel torch to cut outmaterial.* Has own tools and rolling toolbox.Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
