An organization of over 2,500 members in Western Pennsylvania. We were formed in 1999 when Local Unions #6, #409, #530, #751, #2006, #479, #549, and #1968 with over 100 years of existence were combined into one council.
Our goal is to represent all of the individuals who wish to work at our trades in Western PA, and to help them achieve a career with good wages, benefits, safety, and dignity in the workplace. Our staff and members partner with local contractors to bring you the best possible painting, glazing, wallcovering, drywall finishing, and installation services.

Glazier (GI Bill approved)
Glaziers install glass in buildings from restaurants and office buildings to skyscrapers and everything in between.
Glaziers are detail-oriented skilled craftsman who cut and install frames and glass in all types of buildings from schools to skyscrapers. Glaziers are responsible for installing commercial storefronts, skylights, display cases, showers, aluminum and glass revolving doors, curtainwalls, and unitized glass panels. The role of a Glazier also involves duties such as assessing jobsite risks, field measuring, problem solving, operating jobsite machinery, obtain industry related certifications, welding, read and understand blueprints and possess good communication skills.
