Our main office is located in Indianapolis, Indiana with 2 sub local offices located in Terre Haute and Lafayette. We have a diverse area that we cover to meet the needs of our members and contractors. As a local of over 1300 members we offer the latest training and technology to coincide with the evolving construction industry. We offer a 4 year apprenticeship program to ensure our members are highly skilled and qualified to be as productive as possible. We are extremely dedicated to the success and growth of our local as we continue to do everyday.
An apprentice is a training-level employee who works in the building and construction trades while also attending classes to learn industry skills and safety techniques. Wages for an apprentice increase over the course of this training, which lasts from two to five years depending on the trade. An apprentice who graduates to journeyperson is recognized as a well-qualified worker who can command the best wages and benefits
Requirements
Apprenticeship Application Process
- Apply in person at 5600 Dividend Rd, Indianapolis
- Applications are accepted Monday through Thursday from 7am to 2pm.
- If you are interested in applying at our Lafayette or Terre Haute Union office, please call first. Lafayette 765-742-0317, Terre Haute 812-232-5421.
- You MUST have the following items with you in order to apply:
o HS Diploma, GED, or College Transcript o Birth Certificate
o Drivers License
o DD214 (if applicable) - We only hire students in groups and we have an Orientation Class 2 to 3 times a year depending on the need.
- If you are selected among the pool of applicants, we will contact you via text message or email.
- There is no need to call and check on your application unless your phone number or email address changes.
- Your application will be on file and active for one full year from the date of the application.
